Draft resolution on the notification in the event of death
The working group met on 10 June 2026, in order to discuss the draft resolution on the notification in the event of death and the universal model of death certificate.
The working group will meet again on 6 October, just before the General Assembly.
Children's Identity Rights Working Group (IDRWG)
As part of the ICCS’s membership in the Global Alliance to End Statelessness, Carlotta Lopresti, Executive Secretary of the ICCS, on 18 June 2026, participated in the first informal consultation of the Identity Rights Working Group (IDRWG) in Geneva. The co-organizer is Child Identity Protection (CHIP), ICCS’s partner.
The second informal consultation took place on 28 September 2026 in Geneva, with the participation of 6 permanent missions to the UN.
The idea is to work on a joint statement, with the aim of writing a general comment in order to implement UN treaty bodies’ recommendations on children’s identity rights.
