ICCS General Assembly Meeting in Paris
The General Assembly of the ICCS was held in Paris on September 18, 2025, at the Conseil Supérieur du Notariat. A round table on contemporary civil status issues as seen from Africa was organised, and we would like to thank all the participants. Finally, in addition to this event, the Central African Republic has officially submitted its application to obtain observer status within the ICCS. This status was unanimously granted on 4 November 2025, during an extraordinary Bureau meeting.

The restraint working group dedicated to electronic signature met on June 18, 2025, to deepen the discussions initiated in 2024 and continued during the working group in April 2025.

Meeting of the working group on modernisation of Convention No. 20
Third meeting of the working group, at which substantial progress was made. The new Convention No. 35 should be concluded at the next meeting. We would like to thank Armenia, the ANF (Association du Notariat Francophone), Austria, Belgium, Benin, The Hague Conference, the Council of Europe, the ELI (European Law Institute), Spain, the EVS (European Civil Status Officers), Kosovo, Luxembourg, Moldavia, the Netherlands, Portugal, the Holy See, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey for their presence and participation.
