EVS annual congress
Nicolas Nord, ICCS Secretary General, will take part in the EVS annual congress in Rotterdam.
Conference on civil status - Rio de Janeiro
Mr Nord will be taking part in a conference on the consequences of the civil status system for the reliability of records and the international circulation of people’s individual and family status. This conference is organised by the ICCS, the University of Lyon III and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
Meeting of the "electronic signature" working group
The restraint working group on electronic signature will meet on 7 April 2025 to develop the reflections started in 2024
Conference on 3 April 2025 in Corte
Mr Nicolas Nord will be taking part in the conference on 3 April organised in Corte by the University of Corsica. The conference will focus on international judicial cooperation.
Signature of convention 35
Convention 35 was adopted by the ICSC General Assembly on September 13th. The text was immediately signed by Switzerland.
Executive Training on Civil Aspects of International Child Protection (ICPT)
Nicolas Nord, Secretary General of the ICCS, gave a lecture “The ICCS Activities and Good Practices in the field of International Child Protection” in the framework of the Executive Training on Civil Aspects of International Child Protection (ICPT). Thanks to the Children’s Rights Academy of the University of Geneva and the audience for this opportunity and the warm atmosphere.
Meeting of the working group "Modernisation of Convention No. 20"
Third meeting of the working group, at which substantial progress was made. The new Convention No. 35 should be concluded at the next meeting. We would like to thank Armenia, the ANF (Association du Notariat Francophone), Austria, Belgium, Benin, The Hague Conference, the Council of Europe, the ELI (European Law Institute), Spain, the EVS (European Civil Status Officers), Kosovo, Luxembourg, Moldavia, the Netherlands, Portugal, the Holy See, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey for their presence and participation
